By The Power of X: My Top 5 BOE Transmog Weapons to Sell

After perusing a few of the new WOW blog sites out there, I came across a new friend who I talked with about the transmog weapon market. He and I exchanged our top 5 BOE transmog weapons.  I get numerous emails asking me what BOE transmog weapons are the best to sell.  This is a loaded question, since every WOW player is an individual and therefore has their own opinions about what they are looking for when doing a transmog on their weapons.

My Top 5 BOE Transmog Weapons to Sell

I am going to share my top 5 BOE transmog weapons which I have had success selling for a nice profit on my respective realms.  These are my own sales and opinions derived from my personal experiences.  There is no guarantee that you will achieve the same gold profit as I did but at least you can try your market out with these BOE transmog weapons.

This list is in no particular order:

Blade of Wizardry - A very nice MH Sword that is seeing an increase in price.

Hope Ender - A sweet looking 1H Sword which lives up to its name.

Hammer of Destiny - A wicked looking 2H Mace with a nice design.

Blade of Hanna - This blade is for all the Samurais.  A Simple yet cool 2H Sword.

Teebu's Blazing Longsword - All Star Wars fans will enjoy this 1H Sword.

These weapons are the ones I have sold the most compared to my other weapons.  Any of these are nice BOE transmogs to individualize your character.  I will include a list of how much I sold these items for.  Please keep in mind once again, that each price is based on my own personal sales via either trade chat and/or the Auction House.

Blade of Wizardry - 12k-18k

Hope Ender - 6k-8k

Hammer of Destiny - 3k-6k

Blade of Hanna - 8k-10k

Teebu's Blazing Longsword - 40k-50k

5.2 Patch Note about Transmog

With the new 5.2 patch coming sometime this year, Blizzard announced this on their website:

  • Two-handed axes, maces, and swords can be Transmogrified to each other.
  • One-handed axes, maces, and swords can be Transmogrified to each other.

This broadens the transmog market even more.  I am sure many players are very happy about this.  This will most likely shake up the transmog market, hopefully in a positive way.

The transmog market is a great way to increase your gold profit.  Make sure you research your realm's economy for the items you want to sell before you delve into the market.

Until next blog, have a great week!

  1. I sell tons of transmog gear on my server but transmog weapons are the worst sellers. Second only to shields. Blade of Wizardy is the only one on your list that I currently have in stock and I dont think I will restock it once it sells. Glad to hear that they sell on your server.

    1. Thank you Jafo for your comment and for stopping by. Every realm's economy is different. You just need to find what is selling good on your realm. :) Good Luck

  2. I tend not to sell any epics myself as them being purple is usually a tipoff for people to request grandiose prices for them, but if I saw some reasonably priced I'd snatch em up. My 2 favorite xmog weapons are Soulkeeper and Shocking Claws. Both have relatively easily obtainable look-alikes, but I've managed to sell Soulkeeper at 5k many times, and Shocking Claws I got 17k for recently on a side project server I'm working on.

    1. Thank you Phat for visiting my blog. The two weapons you posted are very nice transmogs. I find the market on my realm is inclined more to the epic items but the rares can bring in some nice gold too. I will keep my eye out for the Soulkeeper as well. In addition, I have visited your site and would like to put you in my favorite links. Please let me know if this is ok with you. Thank you again. :)

  3. I saw this weapon ( on Cairne's Horde AH for 5kg. I offered the seller 2kg and he sold it to me. I would imagine it (Singing Crystal Axe) would sell good on any server's AH!

    Happy Transmoging

    Boombury ^_^

    1. Very nice deal on that Boombury :) Thanks for stopping by and for your comment :)
